Krokodilnica is one of the peaceful lakes at Bobovška Jezera near Bobovek and Kranj, Slovenia. Surrounded by trees, greenery, and quiet natural scenery, it is a nice place to slow down and enjoy some time outdoors.

I like visiting this area because it offers a simple way to get away from the busy surroundings without needing a long hike. The walk to the lake is short, leaving plenty of time to explore the area, enjoy the scenery, and take some photographs.

My Experience

I visited Krokodilnica to spend some time in nature and take a closer look at another part of Bobovška Jezera. I parked in the village of Bobovek, close to the lakes, and from there it takes less than 15 minutes to reach them on foot.

The short walk made it easy to reach the lake without much effort, so I could take my time and enjoy the surroundings.

What I liked most was the peaceful atmosphere around the water. The greenery and quiet setting made it a pleasant place to stop for a while, look around, and take a few photographs.

It is the kind of place I enjoy when I do not want a demanding hike but still want to get outside and explore somewhere new.

Autumn gives the area beautiful colors as the leaves change, while winter brings a much quieter atmosphere. Each season has its own character, so I think Krokodilnica is worth visiting throughout the year.

For this short walk, I do not take much with me. Comfortable shoes, some water, and clothing suitable for the weather are usually enough.

I also recommend bringing a camera or phone if you enjoy photography. The lake and surrounding nature offer some nice opportunities for photographs, especially when the light is good.

Krokodilnica is a simple place, but that is exactly what I like about it. You do not need a long hike or much preparation to enjoy some peaceful time beside the lake.
