I enjoyed the slower pace here. There was no need to hurry, and the forest made the walk feel quite relaxing. Every now and then, the trees opened up enough to give a better look at the surrounding landscape.
The route also felt different from a more exposed mountain trail. Instead of being in the open all the time, much of the walk was protected by the forest, which made it particularly pleasant on a warmer day.

Trail Conditions
The trail was in good condition during my hike and was easy enough to follow once I was on the correct path. Most of the route runs through the forest, with a steady climb towards Sveti Lovrenc.
The most important thing to remember is the trail junction near the beginning. There is a path towards Sveti Lovrenc, followed by another trail about 10 meters further on. Some attention is needed because the route can also lead towards Storžič.
Apart from this, the hike was straightforward and did not include any particularly difficult sections. Comfortable hiking shoes are still recommended, especially after rain when roots, stones, and muddy parts can become slippery.

A phone or camera is worth bringing as well. There are some nice views from Sveti Lovrenc, and the peaceful forest surroundings offer a few good opportunities for photographs.
Trekking poles are optional, but they can be useful on the way down, particularly when the ground is wet or slippery.
