My Experience
I continued my hike from Češka Koča na Spodnjih Ravneh towards Kranjska Koča na Ledinah using the Slovenian route. The journey took me more than one hour, but the difficulty of the trail surprised me because of the many exposed sections and steel cables along the way.
I have to admit that this route was more demanding than I expected. The exposed parts require concentration and careful movement, and I strongly recommend using proper mountain equipment, including a helmet. A safety set for fixed cables (via ferrata set) can also be a good choice for hikers who want additional security on the most exposed sections.
This trail is not suitable for people who are uncomfortable with heights or exposed terrain. The mountain path requires confidence, attention, and respect for the conditions.
After reaching Kranjska Koča na Ledinah, I continued my way down towards Jezersko. This part was still exposed in some places, although it was less demanding than the previous section. The descent took me more than one hour as well.
I have to admit that this hike surprised me. Because I am not a big fan of very exposed mountain paths, I was happy and relieved when I safely reached the valley. However, the experience also showed me the incredible beauty of the Slovenian Alps and the importance of respecting challenging mountain routes.
