My Experience

I started my hike in Nemilje, where there is a convenient and well-maintained free parking area.

After reaching the marked mountain trail, the path starts climbing quite steeply. The initial ascent is the more demanding part of the hike, but after that, the trail becomes easier, with mostly flatter sections and some gentle ups and downs. You gradually gain elevation as you continue towards Sveti Primož and Felicijan (Jamnik).

The hike is relatively short and not technically difficult, making it suitable for hikers looking for a shorter mountain walk. The peaceful forest surroundings and countryside make the route enjoyable, although I have to admit that I found some sections a little long and monotonous. There are parts where the trail continues without many changes in the landscape, so the hike can feel a little less exciting along the way.

However, once you reach the top, the effort feels worthwhile. The beautiful views and peaceful surroundings make up for the less interesting sections of the trail. From the top, you can enjoy a wonderful panorama of the Slovenian mountains and the surrounding countryside.

For me, the best part of the hike is reaching the top, taking a moment to rest, and enjoying the beautiful mountain scenery. I recommend visiting Sveti Primož and Felicijan (Jamnik) if you want to discover another beautiful hiking destination in Slovenia.
