Velika Osojnica, standing at 756 metres, is the highest and one of the most spacious viewpoints above the western shore of Lake Bled. Together with Ojstrica and Mala Osojnica, it is one of the best-known viewpoints in the area.
From the top, you can enjoy a wide panoramic view of Lake Bled and its famous island, Bled Castle, the Karawanks, the Kamnik–Savinja Alps, and the Ljubljana Basin.
What makes Velika Osojnica especially interesting is the wider perspective it offers over the landscape. Compared with the busy lakeside area, the viewpoint provides a more natural mountain setting and a beautiful place to stop, enjoy the scenery, and take photographs.
