Debela Peč Hiking Trail Guide Slovenia Debela Peč is one of the most beautiful hiking destinations in the Julian Alps of Slovenia. Standing at 2,014 meters, this scenic mountain offers incredible panoramic views of Triglav and the surrounding peaks. I hiked to the summit of Debela Peč from Rudno Polje on the Pokljuka plateau. The trail leads through peaceful forests, alpine meadows, and open mountain landscapes, creating a beautiful experience from the beginning to the top. The photo above was taken at the summit of Debela Peč, where I enjoyed the impressive mountain scenery and the feeling of reaching one of the most rewarding viewpoints in the Julian Alps. The first part of the hike follows quiet forest paths surrounded by fresh mountain air and peaceful nature. As the trail gains elevation, the landscape slowly changes from forest scenery to open alpine terrain with wider views of the surrounding mountains. Velika Osojnica Hike Above Lake Bled Velika Osojnica, standing at 756 metres, is the highest and one of the most spacious viewpoints above the western shore of Lake Bled . Together with Ojstrica and Mala Osojnica, it is one of the best-known viewpoints in the area. From the top, you can enjoy a wide panoramic view of Lake Bled and its famous island, Bled Castle, the Karawanks, the Kamnik–Savinja Alps, and the Ljubljana Basin. What makes Velika Osojnica especially interesting is the wider perspective it offers over the landscape.
